Building Confident, Capable Guides in Learner-Driven Environments
Guiding in a learner-driven environment is deeply meaningful work, but very different from traditional teaching.
Our Guide Training Program is designed to support new and seasoned guides, parents, and traditional educators who want to guide young people take greater ownership over their education.
Whether you’re stepping into a guide role for the first time or refining your practice after years in education, this program can be customized to meet your needs.
Why Guide Training Matters
Learner-driven environments are great for education, but only when adults are prepared to lead them well.
When guides are trained and supported:
Learners gain confidence and hold themselves to a high standard of excellence
Culture stays strong and consistent
Parents feel trust and clarity
Schools become sustainable and calm
Who This Program Is For:
New guides who want clarity, confidence, and a strong foundation
Experienced guides looking to deepen their practice and strengthen culture
Parents who want to support self-directed learning at home
Teachers transitioning from traditional classrooms or seeking a more learner-driven approach
What You'll Learn
Guides in this program learn how to:
Understand learner-driven philosophy in real, practical terms
Create environments that invite focus, responsibility, and ownership
Set clear boundaries while maintaining trust and respect
Shift from “teacher” to “guide” without losing authority or purpose
Support learners through struggle, independence, and growth
You’ll leave with language, tools, and systems you can use immediately.
How the Training Works
The Guide Training Program provides:
Thoughtful Instruction- We've been training guides for nearly two decades, so we know exactly what it takes to take someone from their first day on the job to understanding how to guide students to take responsibility for their education and run a studio.
Practical Application- Each week, you will receive practical projects to complete and share with our group, each designed intentionally to prepare you to guide your students through their own individual education.
Reflection and Discussion- We will have a group meeting over Zoom once a week to share projects, discuss weekly reflections, and then hold a Q&A.
Clear Expectations and Standards- This program is designed to be used in any learner-driven environment: Montessori, Learner-Driven Micro-schools, Small Learning Pods, Homeschools, or any other setting where you want young people to learn to take responsibility for their life and education.
Participants are guided through the mindset, skills, and structures that allow learner-driven environments to thrive—without chaos or burnout.
If you’re ready to guide learners toward greater responsibility—for their education and their lives—we’d be honored to support you.
